About Us

Builder-Calc is an independent website with construction calculators for practical building tasks. We create fast and easy-to-use tools for calculating materials, dimensions, and structural parameters.

The project began as a practical collection of personal calculators for everyday tasks: how much mix to use on a site, what slope to choose, how to calculate the weight of metal, how to lay deck boards. The tools proved useful to other craftsmen, so we've collected them in one place, streamlined the interface, and made them available to everyone.

Today, our goal is for every user to receive accurate figures in minutes without registration, unnecessary clicks, or hidden restrictions. We're gradually adding languages, improving tooltips, and refining formulas based on real user questions.

Our Mission

To provide clear and accurate calculations for real-world jobs - quickly, free of charge, and without unnecessary theory.

  • Transparency: We show what is being calculated and what units we use.
  • Practicality: We focus on the tasks faced by craftsmen, foremen, and homeowners.
  • Accuracy: We verify formulas, correct assumptions, and respond to error messages.
  • Accessibility: No paywalls, registrations, or cumbersome interfaces - just calculations and results.

Disclaimer & Use Guidelines

Our calculators provide engineering-related estimates for planning and comparison. They are not a substitute for project design, code compliance checks, or professional supervision.

  • Scope: Results are calculated from user inputs and public reference data. They are indicative, not definitive project documents.
  • Assumptions: Default densities, compaction factors, safety factors, and rounding may be applied. Change inputs if your project conditions differ.
