Floor Calculators

Calculations for floor base and finishes

The “Floor” section brings together calculators that help you plan subfloor leveling and floor covering installation. Here you can quickly estimate mix consumption and material quantities based on room dimensions, layer thickness, and the chosen covering format—so you can reduce waste and plan purchases in advance.

  • Screed: calculates mortar/screed volume from area and thickness, with an allowance for losses.
  • Self-leveling compound: estimates material for fine leveling when thickness accuracy and uniformity matter.
  • Floor tile: calculates the number of tiles based on dimensions and a laying pattern (cutting/breakage allowance is set separately).
  • Tile adhesive: estimates consumption by area, substrate type, and trowel size; converts to bags/packs.
  • Grout: calculates consumption based on tile size, joint width, and joint depth—useful for comparing joint options and pack sizes.
  • Laminate: determines the number of planks/packs considering dimensions, laying direction, and waste percentage.
  • Engineered wood flooring: calculates coverage for straight laying based on board format and cutting allowance.
  • Decking boards: estimates board count and coverage based on deck size and the selected laying geometry.
  • Vinyl flooring: calculates the number of planks/packs for LVT/vinyl panels with format and waste allowance.

For most calculations, it's enough to enter room length and width (or total area), layer thickness (for mixes), tile/board dimensions, and a waste percentage. Units are shown next to the inputs—follow the interface prompts to keep results accurate.

The results are convenient for budgeting and ordering: you get clear totals for volume/area and packaging counts, and you can save the calculation to share with an installer or purchasing.

Included in this section:

  • Subfloor leveling calculators: screed and self-leveling compound;
  • Covering quantity calculators: tile, laminate, engineered wood, decking, and vinyl;
  • Consumption calculators for tile work: adhesive and grout;
  • Waste/allowance settings for cutting, breakage, and installation losses;
  • Conversion of results into bags/packs based on your selected package size;
  • Quick comparison of options by layer thickness, joint width, and laying pattern;

These calculators provide planning estimates for purchasing and preparation. For unusual substrates, complex layouts, or mixed installation patterns, it's a good idea to verify the results with a professional or the manufacturer's technical data.
