How to use?

All calculators for different types of building materials are designed according to a single principle, so the usage algorithm will be the same.

Start by specifying the type of building material. The consumption per linear or square meter of different materials may vary – it depends on the presence/absence of overlap, number of layers, support points, masonry rows, etc.

All dimensions are specified in centimeters. Do not get confused with the number of zeros: for example, to calculate the foundation, you need to specify its width as 40 cm, not 0.4 m. It is advisable to keep the project documentation at hand during calculations (specifically its structural section, which indicates the dimensions).

Specify additional positions if necessary: the list is available under the fields to be filled. Remember that these are not all the necessary consumables (see Useful information for the estimator).

How to save calculation results?

  • download a single PDFfile;
  • download ziparchive with all materials in format .png;
  • send a single PDFfile to e-mail.

Useful information for the estimator

The list of materials, the necessary quantity of which will be calculated by the construction calculator, – this is not yet a finished estimate. For most positions, you will need consumables – fasteners and hardware, compounds for rough processing, materials for waterproofing, vapor, wind, thermal, and sound insulation, reinforcing elements, shields and spacers for formwork, etc. Altogether, they will add up to a significant amount in the estimate.

Part of the positions (for example, for the roof, this is timber for the mauerlat, counter-batten strips, waterproofing, insulation) allows to foresee the calculator itself (see the column with data fields). Others need to be calculated independently, based on the specifics of the materials.
